After-School club activities
On Mondays we are situated in Willow class. This gives the younger children the opportunity to play in the role play area, and all the children to play with a different assortment of toys and use the school computers.
From Tuesday through to Friday we are situated in the school hall.
We have a rolling timetable of activities, consisting of a good stock of toys and games, which also include physical activities. On many evenings we make use of the school playground and play outdoor activities as well as the use of After-school scooters.
On four evenings a week we are included in the many adult lead activities which include: Art, Netball, Cookery and the Knit & Stitch Club.
Children can help themselves to a drink and fruit throughout the session.
Once parents register their child they are given the After-school club mobile number. The number is given exclusively to all our After-school club parents.
The phone is checked every morning during breakfast club for any texts or messages and is always on for the duration of the After-school club sessions; this enables parents to ring in at any time.
We continually receive overall praise for the friendliness and happy atmosphere, as well as the flexibility of the sessions that the children can attend.
We are a small and intimate After-school club which allows us to provide a good, stable happy atmosphere for both the children and parents. We are not just an After-school & Breakfast club we are very much an extended part of St. Joseph's school: carrying on the ethos and safe well-being of all our children in our care.
