Welcome to St Joseph's Catholic Primary School

Dear Parents,

St Joseph’s is an inclusive Catholic Primary school for children aged 4 – 11, where everyone is warmly welcomed from all denominations or from no faith backgrounds. At the heart of our ethos are the Gospel values of Kindness, Courage, Forgiveness, Peace, Compassion, Justice, Humility and Integrity and as a school community we strive to live these values in everything we do.

The uniqueness of every child is celebrated at St Joseph’s. We have an aspirational and inclusive culture where we are passionate about every individual flourishing. Preparing our children for their future; academically, spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially.

Our curriculum is designed to build confidence and the ability to articulate clearly in order to give each individual a voice. It is broad, balanced, progressive and builds knowledge. We aim for our curriculum to be rich and engaging, enabling our children to build an understanding and make connections of our world locally, nationally, globally both in the past, present and in the future.

As a school we recognise that a strong partnership with parents is essential for the best outcomes for our young people. We work hard to help our parents support their child’s learning and well-being. We enjoy good relationships with our parents and are always working to improve this further. We have an active Friends Association which helps provide the children with a range of extracurricular activities and resources.

Above all we aim for our school to be a happy, nurturing place full of laughter, respect and love. Where there are no mistakes only new opportunities to learn. Please come and visit our lovely, school family. Very Best wishes

Sarah Pascoe
